Sports Data Labs, Inc. receives global recognition in the data category for its pioneering technology and work in professional sports 

Detroit, MI / November 24, 2020 / Sports Data Labs, Inc. (SD Labs), a leader in collection, analysis and distribution of real-time Human Data from on-body sensors and sensing systems, has been named 2020 Early Stage Startup of the Year in the data category by the global Sports Technology Awards (STA). 

 The STA Group Awards celebrates outstanding young technology businesses in the sports sector.

SD Labs was chosen by a panel of judges which featured well-known figures from the world of sports, business and technology sectors including senior executives from FIFA, Microsoft, Google, Under Armour, lululemon, TikTok, Tennis Australia, International Cricket Council, Aspire Academy, PGA European Tour, FC Barcelona, and Sina Sports among others.

SD Labs provides technology that enables interoperability of sensors and sensing systems, while using artificial intelligence to transform collected data into metrics, insights, and predictions for various real-time and on-demand use cases. In professional sports, SD Labs has been pioneering the commercialization of athlete data through its real-time monitoring platform. SDL has provided over 750 hours of real-time, in-game Human Data content in live professional sports distributed to 14 broadcast partners across 150+ countries including CBS Sports, Fox Sports, Facebook, Eurosport, Eleven Sports and DAZN. The company has previously worked with the PSA World Tour, PGA Tour, and ATP Tour among others. Their partnerships also include Premier League club Leeds United. 

SD Labs recently launched a new digital health division, Human Data Labs, which leverages SD Labs’ proprietary technology solutions to select health & wellness services.
